形態特徵

• Shrub; branches ± spreading; branchlets 4-lined and flattened when young, soon terete.
• Leaves sessile or subsessile; lamina 1-3 cm long, 0.5-1.3 cm broad, oblong to elliptic or obovate, apex acute to rounded, base cuneate to angustate, subcoriaceous, paler beneath, with ± marked submarginal vein, almost invisible reticulate venation and only pale glandular dots, prominent above.
• Inflorescence 1-3-flowered, terminal, sometimes with up to 3 pairs of short axillary 1-flowered branches; complete flowers not seen; sepals 3.5-5(8) mm long, 0.7-1.2(2) mm broad, linear-lanceolate to linear, subacute to rounded, with entire margin, reflexed in fruit; petals 20-28 mm long, 10-20 mm broad, obovate, bright yellow, deciduous; stamen fascicles 5, deciduous, each with ca. 15 (?) stamens; anthers yellow, with amber gland; ovary 2.5-3 mm long, ovoid-ellipsoid, 5-locular, 5 styles ca. 4 times as long, completely united.
• Capsule 8-12 mm long, (3)4-5 mm broad, cylindric-ellipsoid; Seeds 1.2-1.4 mm long, dark yellowish brown, narrowly carinate, with terminal expansion.
• <i>Hypericum nakamurae</i> is closely related to <i>H. formosanum</i>, but differs from it in having, in addition to a distinct geographical and altitudinal distribution, smaller, narrower sepals that are reflexed in fruit, larger petals (? always), relatively longer styles, cylindric-ellipsoid fruit, and narrower leaves.

• 台灣 : In open limestone rock crevices, 1,400-2,400 m.
